Pukehina is located in the centrally in the North Island New Zealand, in the Bay of Plenty Region, it is an appealing beachfront community facing North East. A great place to relax. Activities include; walking, swimming, fishing/deep sea fishing, tennis, golf (10mins to Te Puke Golf Course), and numerous others. Sightseeing options are plentiful; from Pukehina it is a 30 - 40 minute drive to the popular tourist/holiday destinations; Rotorua, Tauranga, & Whakatane. Rotorua is renowned for its lakes (watersports & trout fishing), spectacular thermal activity, and as a centre for the preservation of the Maori culture. Tauranga's appeal is in its superb beaches, and mild climate, Mt. Maunganui (10 minutes from Tauranga) is a big drawcard at holiday time. Whakatane also boasts great beaches, and borders the East Cape region. There are commercial airports at each of these three centres. The nearest town is Te Puke, 15 minutes drive from Pukehina.
